6. We manufacture our own decorative Concrete Products Primarily for our own usage. By this we have been able to formulate our own product line with far higher solids contents, cleaner and harder additives and specialty blends specifically for Arizona weather. On a national level there are numerous coating supply stores that distribute their products to contractors. With all the vast supply chains out there I’ve only seen repeats of the same two or three basic formulations within product lines. They work, but are formulated with what I consider the bare minimum ingredients and cookie cutter recipes. Most of the formulations being distributed are not adequate for long term bonding and durability (Especially in a climate like Phoenix .) The higher end recipes that we use cost us quite a bit more than the basic mix designs, yet we can still compete at reasonable cost with our services, due to cutting out the extra expenses of purchasing at store front pricing.

WHAT CAN OUR PRODUCTS BE APPLIED TO?
Any Sound substrate. OUR Products tenaciously bond to tile, over marble, formica countertops, wood or foam reinforced with steel mesh, reinforced straw bails, sheet rock, and any concrete surface.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES OF OUR PRODUCTS FROM OTHER PRODUCTS NATIONALLY?
All of our products are highest performance driven, not cost driven. We have all of our products manufactured in house with our own proprietary blends for our own use on jobs. Our mixes are NOT cookie cutter recipes with the bare minimum and basic blends focused on distribution of product or profits by holding back on ALL needed admixes or extra expenses for extensive durability.
Standard varieties of national products being used consist of acrylic based modified cements. Much stronger than standard concrete, but as an overlayment it still falls short on lifetime adhesion, forgiveness to seasonal concrete breathing, (swelling & contracting) and not 100% water resistant from top side and most problematic, uprising of moistures from underneath slabs resulting in delaminating usually between the fifth to tenth year after being installed.
Other standard overlayments consist of vinyl based modified cements, easy to work with but fall even shorter than acrylic modified cements on having acceptable long term adhesion, hardness, scuff resistance, top and underside water resistance.
Our products are blended differently according to the climates we install in. Products being distributed from other states tend to fall under the above descriptions and lack even more so in having complete blends for surviving Tennesse summers.
A chemical bond is achieved by the the above products described. (Glue and Cements sticking to surface being applied to.)
Our major differences are; we achieve a functional chemical bond and also a mechanical bond. (One of the major keys to lifetime adhesion)
Our proprietary blends are hybrid polymers and hybrid cements consisting of the best performance traits of several combined resins, modifiers, Portland cements, Hydraulic cements, and the hardest proportioned aggregates available. These blends fill in the gaps of all the short falls of conventional materials, attain a peak of 14,000 P.S.I. (pounds per square inch) and achieve a mechanical bond by the additions of hydraulic cements carrying the hybrid polymer deeper into the substrates surface and achieving a crystallized spiking within the concrete, making the overlayment locked mechanically, not just glued to the surface.
WHAT RANGE OF STRENGTHS CAN BE ACHIEVED BY SBC PRODUCTS?
Ranges vary depending on the type of applications. Our product strengths are based on PSI calculations (pounds per square inch) Our wall finishes reach over 6,000 PSI strengths within 3 hours and over 9,000 PSI within 30 days. Our overlay mixes attain over 7,500 PSI within 7 days and over 9,000 PSI within 30 days and a peak of 14,000 PSI with specialized applications and added curing procedures.
HOW ARE THE PRODUCTS APPLIED?
The methods vary from applications, in the most part concrete finishing tools are used for placement, shaping and texturing. We also use shot-crete sprayers, hand applied and Patent Pending texturing tools for some of our specialized projects. Regardless of which method is best suited for your project, we take pride in our immaculate job site cleanliness record. You’d be amazed at the horror stories I hear of job site slobs.
